5th Regional Youth Leadership Forum in Novi Sad

5th Regional Youth Leadership Forum (RYLF) was held in Novi Sad, Serbia, from
the 30th of October to the 2nd of November 2020.
The Regional Youth Leadership Forum is an annual conference which brings together
young opinionated leaders, action-oriented and socially active individuals from the
WB6 in order to engage in discussions on salient topics and develop solutions based
on previous knowledge and active social participation. Over the years the Forum has
gradually, but steadily grown into the meeting place for the young and the bold,
ambitious and unrelenting individuals who speak a different language, a language of
reconciliation and goodwill.

This year the topic was more economy oriented, therefore the main goal was to address current socio-economy changes in the Western Balkans, inspired by the drive towards the creation of what came to be known as the Mini Schengen initiative.

Its goal is to give this emerging new social class a chance to openly discuss, and
engage in conversation with the senior professionals, who have the necessary
experience in the relevant fields. By connecting the inexperienced with the
experienced, it aims to contribute to the further development of the young business
and startup communities rapidly growing in the Western Balkans.

Topics in focus were the free movement of people, the regional digital agenda, the regional industrial and investment area, support for young entrepreneurs, demographic change and sustainable demographic development in the Western Balkans.

Representatives of our fund also took part in the forum.

RYLF was organized by the European Movement in Serbia – local branch Novi Sad, the
Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence, and in partnership with the Regional
Cooperation Council (RCC). The Forum is additionally supported by the Provincial
Government of Vojvodina and the City of Novi Sad.
