Visit to the municipalities of Sremski Karlovci and Stara Pazova as a part of the FEP tour

Representatives of the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of  Vojvodina visited on October 20, 2020 the municipalities of Sremski Karlovci and Stara Pazova.
During the meetings, a comprehensive cooperation of local government representatives with the Fund was agreed, regarding the possibility of financing through EU funds through assistance in selecting and writing projects to the EU by employees of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina.
Representatives of the municipality of Sremski Karlovci are developing tourist potentials through the implementation of several European projects such as: Danube Wine Route, Europe for Citizens, as well as through cooperation with municipalities from Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia.

The Deputy Mayor Marina Savić informed the representatives of the Fund about the realized projects of the cross-border cooperation program, as well as the transnational programs: Adriatic-Ionian and Danube.
Also, representatives of the municipality presented the problems and challenges they face, such as the need for reconstruction of the sports and recreational facility, reconstruction of the kindergarten and others – which could be solved through the implementation of EU projects, with the help of the Fund.
Both municipalities are active in writing EU projects and are interested in re-conducting the training course ‘EU Funding Opportunities’.
