Agreements on cooperation, worth more than €50,000, signed with partners from Sweden
Novi Sad, 24 January – Today agreements on cooperation have been signed between our partner Syd Halland from Sweden and representatives of parental councils at schools on the territory of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina: from Irig, Inđija, Titel and Novi Sad, as well as “Beli lokvanj” Association from Budisava, which has been organized by the Office for European Affairs. Cooperation aims at supporting the democratization of society, providing a clear example of how an individual can contribute to changes in their everyday life and community development, by means of adult education, which is one of the many successful achievements of Sweden.
The project worth more than €50,000 will enable equipping computer cabinets and running English and computer courses in the places, and the past three-year period proves its success, since the representatives from Irig and Inđija have continued their cooperation with ABF today. According to Aleksandar Milivojević, Deputy Head Teacher, photoshop training and drama classes have also been introduced, in addition to computer and English courses in Inđija. “The best way for our young people to gain knowledge of European achievements is to start learning the way, for example, their Swedish peers do. It is very important for them to travel and see how everyday life flows on the spot both in Vojvodina and Sweden. They manage to establish right contacts by e-mail communication in English”, said Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs.
