Protocol on Cooperation signed between the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and National Council of the Romanian National Minority

The European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and National Council of the Romanian National Minority have signed the Protocol on Cooperation, providing framework for joint steps related to future activities.

The European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and National Council of the Romanian National Minority have signed the Protocol on Cooperation, providing framework for joint steps related to future activities. The goal of the Protocol is to contribute to local and regional development, as well as to the acquisition of European values and procedures, by enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two institutions.

According to the agreement, the cooperation with the Romania national community is to materialise thought the development and implementation of joint projects, primality those under the Romania-Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme 2014-2020. One of the future activities would also involve cooperation in the framework of information dissemination on the use of pre-accession funds and other development policy instruments.

Taking into consideration the necessity of promoting multiculturalism and multi-ethnicity, the plan is to present the culture, customs and lifestyle of the Romanian national community in Serbia involving a number of meetings and events, via the Vojvodina European Office in Brussels.

The Protocol was signed by the director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Siniša Lazić and president of the National Council of the Romanian National Minority, Daniel Petrović.
