Registration for the European Week of Regions and Cities 2017 is open
The 15th European Week of Regions and Cities (EWRC), organised by the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) and the DG Regional and Urban Policy (DG REGIO) will be held in Brussels from 9th to 12th October 2017.
During the EWRC, more than 130 workshops, debates and meetings will be held, where participants will be able to exchange experience and good practice on local and regional development. Also, this is a good opportunity for political dialogue regarding the future directions of the development of EU Cohesion Policy, as well as raising the awareness of decision-makers on the importance and significance of regions and cities on the overall development of the wider community.
This year’s EWRC under the main headline “Regions and Cities working for a better future” will gather 170 regions and cities across Europe, grouped into 28 regional partnerships, as well as a number of other participants from almost all European institutions. The Autonomous Province of Vojvodina will participate in the regional partnership “Regional policy future” together with six partners from Italy, Poland, United Kingdom, France and Croatia and will co-organize the workshop under the title ” Towards more effective EU Regional Policy” which will take place on 11th October 2017.
