The start of the fourth cycle of the Specialised Programme “Management of Regional Development through EU Funds”
The fourth cycle of lectures within the framework of the Specialised Programme “Management of Regional Development through EU funds” has started today at the University Educons in Sremska Kamenica, which is the partner to the European Affairs Fund AP Vojvodina in organising the Programme
In addition to Vidosava Enderić, Director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Aleksandar Andrejević PhD, Rector of the Educons University, and Nebojša Drakulić, Assistants Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-government, addressed the participants.
After the participants’ introduction, Jelena Tošković, European Affairs Fund of the AP Vojvodina, held a presentation about the Fund and the Programme, after which the Programme coordinators of Educons presented themselves. In accordance with the great interest, this time the number of participants has increased – 50 participants from local self-governments, civil society organizations, different universities and faculties, public utility companies, development agencies, cultural institutions, etc.
Once again, Vidosava Enderić, Director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, emphasized the importance of the balanced development of the entire province, especially given the readiness to develop successful European projects, which are a precondition for the absorption of EU funds.
Nebojša Drakulić, Assistants Provincial Secretary for Regional Development, Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-government, emphasized the fact that there is a continuous need for a more active involvement of regional and local entities in the events related to the European Union.
The main objective of the Programme is information dissemination on the EU policies and the preparation of the participants for the creation and implementation of European projects, which is supported by a large number of subjects and intensive knowledge exchange with the lecturers, as well as interaction between the participants during the implementation of joint tasks.
The program provides detailed information on a wide range of available EU funds and programmes that finance projects in different areas (environmental protection, economy, education, culture, etc.), moreover, preparation of successful projects, implementation of the approved projects and management of EU funds spending.
The lecturers in the Programme are experts having a great theoretical and practical experience in managing EU funds and programmes. The fourth generation of the participants will attend a total of two hundred classes and the entire Programme is being financed by the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
