Lecture by Mladen Šimunac

On Saturday, 10th November 2018, the first lecture by Mladen Šimunac, guest lecturer from the Republic of Croatia was held within the fifth cycle of the Specialised Programme “Management of Regional Development through EU Funds”,
The Fund established cooperation with Mr. Šimunac during the 3rd cycle of the Specialised Programme in 2017, when he hosted the study visit to the Republic of Croatia. After excellent cooperation on the study visit, Mr. Šimunac was also a guest lecturer talking about the “EU model of development management”.

The lecturer informed the participants of the 5th cycle about the experience of the Republic of Croatia in the pre-accession process, the challenges they had met, as well as the experience in EU project development. He emphasized that it was important to recognize the importance of available EU grants and that the topics of projects needed to have an impact on the community, not only on their institutions.
