The Fund’s representatives at the 13th Conference of European Regions and Cities in Salzburg

About 350 participants from 18 European countries participated in the 13th Conference of European Regions and Cities, held in Salzburg (Austria) from 24th to 26th September 2017, and organized by the Institute of the Regions of Europe (IRE – Institut der Regionen Europas) and the city Salzburg. The conference was opened by Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations. The introductory panel “The Next Generation of the New EU Member States” was attended by Karl-Heinz Lambertz, President of the European Committee of the Regions, Harald Preuner, Deputy Mayor of Salzburg, Wilfried Haslauer, President of the Federal State of Salzburg, Jadranka Joksimović, Minister for European Integration of the Republic of Serbia, as well as the Ministers of European Integration of Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania and Macedonia.

During the conference, the panel discussions “How to keep Rural Areas attractive for Future Generations”, “The Next Generation of Renewable Energy” and “Start-ups in the Regions- the Future for the Young Generation” were held, at which the lecturers were eminent experts from the world of politics, journalism, education and entrepreneurship.

During the conference, Vidosava Enderić, Director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, met with Pof. Franz Schausberger PhD, Chairman of the Institute of the Regions of Europe and Adviser of Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner, as well as with the representatives of the institutions from the Republic of Srpska and Slovenia in order to implement joint projects.
