Presentation of the Third Call for Proposals under the IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme Croatia-Serbia 2007- 2013

A meeting of the coordination group for the use of EU funds has been held at the Assembly of AP Vojvodina. The meeting was targeted at the representatives of provincial secretariats, local self-governments and public utility companies, involving the local self-governments of Ruma, Bečej, Bač, Šid, Bačka Palanka, Stara Pazova and Pećinci, in order to promote the Third Call for Proposals under the IPA CBC Croatia-Serbia 2007-2013.

A meeting of the coordination group for the use of EU funds has been held at the Assembly of AP Vojvodina. The meeting was targeted at the representatives of provincial secretariats, local self-governments and public utility companies, involving the local self-governments of Ruma, Bečej, Bač, Šid, Bačka Palanka, Stara Pazova and Pećinci, in order to promote the Third Call for Proposals under the IPA CBC Croatia-Serbia 2007-2013.

During the meeting, the overall objective of the Programme was presented, including the promotion of sustainable development of the cross-border region through an effective use of potentials of the region, in synergy with the targeted use of natural resources ensuring the preservation of regional biodiversity, as well as assistance in the revival of areas affected by floods in the programme area in Serbia and Croatia. Moreover, the specific objectives were presented: conservation of natural resources in the cross-border region by taking joint actions and increasing public awareness; promotion of good neighbourhood relations between local communities across the border; and assistance to Serbia and Croatia in their efforts to recover after the flooding, allowing private entities, business and public service to continue with their normal operations at the earliest possible time.

Furthermore, clarification was given regarding the responsible institutions and bodies, potential activities within the available measures and eligible applicants. In addition, the participants were given useful tips on how to prepare the general part of the application form and budget.

One of the next steps is a visit to local self-governments on the territory of Bačka and Srem to discuss the possibility of developing joint projects with the aim of greater participation under the Third Call of the IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme Croatia-Serbia. Finally, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina will hold a series of meetings in the forthcoming period on the topic of partnership expansion and project proposal development with reference to almost all relevant EU programmes available to institutions from Serbia.
