Economic potentials of Vojvodina presented in the Belgian city of Mons
On Thursday, 8th March 2018, Srdjan Mačkić, Head of the Vojvodina European Office in Brussels, presented the economic potentials of Vojvodina within the “Encounter Business“, which is traditionally organized at the University of Mons.
The event was attended by some ten representatives of different companies operating in Belgium, among which were some of the most prominent names, such as the French Alstom, German Siemens, one of the leading construction companies in the world, Belgian Besix, Engie, the largest distributor of electricity in Belgium, and others.
In addition to the most significant names, the focus of the presentation was on medium-sized enterprises, which were informed about the favourable economic environment in Vojvodina, the possibilities for investment in production, and in particular the Free Trade Agreements allowing access to different markets. During the presentation, special emphasis was put on the incentives of the Provincial Government to create new jobs. At the cocktail after the presentation, contacts were established with companies in the field of energy efficiency, construction and similar, showing interest in potential cooperation.
The Vojvodina European Office in Brussels, in cooperation with the Development Agency of Vojvodina and other provincial institutions, is actively engaged in the promotion of economic potentials with the aim of attracting foreign investments and opening new workplaces.
