The application of the AP Vojvodina regional partnership for the 19th European Week of Regions and Cities has been accepted
The organizers of the 19th European Week of Regions and Cities (ENRG) announced that the application submitted by AP Vojvodina with the partner regions and cities for participation in the partnership called “Europe of Opportunity” was accepted. The content of the application was assessed as very constructive, and it was suggested that this event be registered on the appropriate part of the official internet platform of the Conference on the Future of Europe.
The AP Vojvodina office in Brussels, together with partners from Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Greece and Northern Ireland, started preparations for participation in this year’s ENRG in February. In February and March 2021, several meetings were held during which the partners jointly agreed on all the necessary details in order to submit an application for ENRG. A 90-minute workshop format has been agreed, during which the partners will present various achievements and projects funded by EU funds, with a special emphasis on the green and digital transition. The address of high-ranking regional representatives from the partner regions that are members of the European Committee of the Regions is also planned via video link. The partners also envisaged the active participation of the audience through the use of software such as Slido in order to enable questions to be asked, ie to conduct an appropriate survey.
At the meeting – organized by the European Committee of the Regions at the end of May – it was announced that this year, the largest European event dedicated to regional issues will be held in digital format, regardless of the epidemiological situation in October. In that sense, the organizers plan to use more interactive platforms to make the whole event more interesting for a wider audience.
According to the planned calendar, partners whose participation has been confirmed at ENRG should submit their final descriptions of events by July 9, 2021. Prior to the registration of participants, it will be possible to perform from August 23, 2021, while the official registration will begin on August 30, 2021.
