A working visit to the city of Sombor
The representatives of the European Affairs Fund of the AP Vojvodina, Milan Čežek, Zoran Pavić and Jelena Radosavljević Rovčanin have paid a working visit to the city of Sombor, another municipality in a row, where they have had a meeting with Helena Roksandić Musulin, Head of the City Administration, Mihael Plac, Head of the Department for Local Economic Development, Ivan Šimunov, Assistant Mayor and their associates.
The representatives of the city administration of Sombor presented their EU projects being implemented, out of which, some were under the INTERREG IPA CBC Programme Hungary-Serbia and one under the INTERREG IPA CBC Programme Croatia-Serbia, as well as their plans for new projects. A number of approved projects is the result of the engagement and quality of the team so that they belong to the group of those local self-governments that are examples of best practice for those municipalities that are underdeveloped, with which the Fund has worked in the previous period in order to increase their capacities. The focus of the discussion was on how to improve the already good cooperation of the City of Sombor and the European Affairs Fund of APV, regarding the partnership in the previous projects. They expressed great interest in the three-day training courses of the Fund in order to expand their operational capacities, as well as in participating in other EU programmes in order to gain new experience and solve some of the problems and challenges they faced on the territory of the city and municipality of Sombor.
