The work practice of students from the Faculty of Economics, University of Novi Sad, in the European Affairs Fund APV

The European Affairs Fund of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina is successfully implementing internships for students of the Faculty of Economics in Subotica, University of Novi Sad, who are attending the Study Program for European and International Economics and Business. Students of this Study Program acquire knowledge about the economy of the European Union and the specifics of doing business in the single European market, as well as about the process of adjusting the economy and business in Serbia to the rules and standards of the European Union. These 15 young people, future experts in the field of European integration and regional economy, had the opportunity to, through a two-week internship, which partly took place online – respecting all prescribed measures due to the pandemic – gain practical knowledge about EU programs and learn how to apply for European funds, as well as to learn more about pre-accession funds available to the Republic of Serbia, cross-border cooperation programs, transnational programs, as well as other European Union programs (such as Erasmus + programs). The second part of the internship included training for writing project proposals, where participants were introduced to the logic of formulating project proposals, the way of filling the application form, as well as defining activities and budgets.
