Seminar on Harassment at Work
The first in a line of seminars that aim to make improvement in the capacities of employees in branch unions to recognise and prevent harassment at workplace was held today, in Bačka Palanka, on the occasion of the beginning of European project “Prevention of Harassment at Workplace through Social Dialogue“. This project started as a result of a partnership between European Affairs Fund-AP Vojvodina, Independent Trade Unions of Vojvodina and Swedish ABF Foundation. Project, financed through EU means in the context of the civil society programmes is worth over 50.000 euros and it has a goal to introduce the audience with the difficulty of the problem of mobbing and its negative consequece on the health of the employees, their families, business of a company and the society. Goran Milić and secretary of the Union Jelena Češljević, project manager opened the seminar whilst mr Dražen Lovrić on behalf of European Affairs Fund-AP Vojvodina explained the goals and activities in the context of project of strengthening of the civil society, European experience in socio-economic development and prospects of attraction of means from EU funds intended for Serbia.
30 representatives of branch unions that work in the field of industry, agriculture, questions of the young, women and persons with disabilities from Vršac, Novi Sad, Sombor, Šid, Bačka Palanka, Subotica, Bečej, Sremska Mitrovica and Pančevo participated in the seminar.
