Field visit and round table for healthcare workers in Požega, as part of the Mos-Cross2 project

On 24.11.2022. In 2008, the Public Health Institute of Požega-Slavonska County hosted a presentation of light-up panels, after which members of the project team from Osijek, Novi Sad and Sombor, together with the project partner from Požega, visited the light-up info-panels (billboards) that attract and kill mosquitoes. Members of the project team of the Public Health Institute of Požega-Slavonia County presented to the members of the project team the construction and design of mosquito control panels placed in the area of ​​Požega-Slavonia County. The panels were opened and the principle of operation of all parts was explained in detail. Team members visited billboards in the following locations: Požega, Dervišaga, Pleternica, Jakšić, Kaptol and Velika.At the Round Table for Primary Health Care of Požega-Slavonia County on 25 November 2022. were present members of the project team, the Institute of Public Health of Osijek-Baranja County (leading partner), representatives of the Institute of Public Health Sombor (project partner), the Institute of Public Health of Požega-Slavonia County (project partner), representatives of the “European jobs” APV (project partner) and the Institute for Public Health of Vojvodina (project partner) as well as health workers.In front of the project partner from Požega, Mato Matijević, director of the Institute for Public Health of the Požega-Slavonska County, greeted everyone present. Magdalena Sikora, in front of the leading partner, spoke on the topic “Cross-border cooperation in mosquito control” and presented the partners with the project and the project activities that have been implemented so far. Hrvoje Bekina from the Teaching Institute for Public Health of Osijek-Baranja County held a presentation on the topic “Suppressing mosquitoes with ecological traps”, and in front of the Institute for Public Health, Dalibor Puharić, briefly presented the dynamicsimplementation of MOS-Cross 2 in Požega-Slavonia County. Mato Matijević, director of the Public Health Institute of Požega-Slavonia County, gave a lecture on “Diseases transmitted by mosquitoes”.
