Regional Business Forum

The Third Regional Business Forum was held in the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, organized by the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, the Assembly of European Regions, the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, the Development Agency of Vojvodina, together with the European Entrepreneurship Network and the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina
The forum was organized in an online environment, in accordance with the current epidemiological situation.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, Boško Vučurević, opened an event, assessed that the Business Forum represents an extraordinary environment that should achieve results.
The participants were also addressed by the President of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina, István Pásztor, who thanked this year’s participants and organizers, and assessed that we will have a lot of challenges ahead of us.

 

Vice President of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina Damir Zobenica pointed out that the Regional Business Forum is a synergy of several institutions and is the result of active participation of AP Vojvodina in the work of the Assembly of European Regions for more than 20 years.

In the introductory part, the participants were also addressed by the European Commissioner for Neighborhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi, the Head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Sam Fabrizi, as well as the President of the Assembly of European Regions Magnus Berntson.

Nikola Žeželj, Director of the Development Agency of Vojvodina, Nicolas Burge from the Directorate General for Trade of the European Commission, Lucas Mandl, Member of the European Parliament, Juan Jose Martinez Lozano, representative of the Region of Murcio from Spain, Alexandra Santini, representative of the Region of Abruzzo from Spain also addressed the Forum. Italy and Wang Tianming, Director General of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Chinese province of Fujian.

This year’s Regional Business Forum gathered over 210 participants from 28 countries from three continents, and over 200 participants applied for B2B meetings.
