Based on the interest of the employees of “Đura Jakšić“ Elementary School of Kać, the European Affairs Fund of АP Vojvodina has held a three-day training course under the title “Prospects for Financing through EU Funds“ in order to bring closer the topic of project financing to the school teaching and other staff who have recognized this sort of financing as an opportunity to improve the work of their institution. During the training course, the attendees could obtain detailed information on the structure and manner of financing under the IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programmes available to institutions in AP Vojvodina. Moreover, the presentation also involved the EU Programme “Erasmus+”, which was open for educational institutions from Serbia and which would be available in the next seven-year period from 2014 to 2020.

The informative part of the training was followed by tasks involving group work, when the attendees could develop their project ideas on different topics in cooperation with the lecturers. The majority of project ideas focused on the work with children involving informal education, such as extracurricular and sports activities and promotion of natural sciences. The presentation also discussed the tools having proven to be the most successful in project idea development, such as the problem and objective analysis by means of the problem tree and objective tree, logical framework and grouping of activities into working packages. Furthermore, the necessary steps and procedures required by the EU concerning the budgeting of project proposals were presented in practice.
