On European funds in Bačka Topola

In order to strengthen the municipal capacities and intensify cooperation, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina have visited the municipality of Bačka Topola. The attendees were greeted by the Municipal President, who said that he was pleased because of the large number of attndees who recognized the importance of EU funds. He presented the experience of Bačka Topola, and during the discussion, he talked about all positive, as well as challenging situations which the municipality faced while developing and implementing projects.

The Fund representatives informed the participants about the on-going Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance, preparing them for the new Programming Period 2014-2020 of the European Union. It was emphasized that it was important for Odžaci Municipality and local communities to cooperate with the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Provincial Secretariat for Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government and accredited Regional Development Agencies of Srem, Banat and Bačka in order to define priorities and devise development strategies similar to European ones. The meeting was attended by the representatives of municipal administration, public companies, non-governmental organizations, tourist organizations and citizens’ associations from the territory of Bačka Topola, who presented their experience.
