English lessons for retired persons started at the Office for European Affairs

The Office for European Affair has organized and given the first English lesson for the eldest citizens of Novi Sad residing at the Gerontology Centre “Novi Sad” today. Concern for the young, elderly, women victims of abuse and socially vulnerable people is one of the most important standards on which the Europeisation of the country is based.

”I am very pleased that our senior citizens are interested in learning the English language. Some of them have already been learning how to use a computer, and they have noticed that it is much easier to master the ‘secrets of computers’ with a good command of English. We have learned greetings and basic numbers in our first lesson, and the message behind this course is that someone cares about them”, said Teodora Milkov, teacher at the Office for European Affairs.
