European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina visits The Mayor of the City of Ljubljana

The Mayor of the City of Ljubljana, Mr. Zoran Janković, hosted the director of the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Mr. Aleksandar Simurdić,  introducing him once again to the steps that led Ljubljana to the title of European Green Capital.

The acquired experience, knowledge and implementation of innovative activities in the field of water management, waste, biodiversity, maintenance and preservation of green identity will serve the municipalities and cities in Vojvodina on the way of the implementation of the Green Agenda.
A new meeting has been arranged for the beginning of 2022, when local self- government units from Vojvodina will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the experiences from Ljubljana.

During the conversation, the Mayor of the City of Ljubljana, Zoran Janković, praised Novi Sad, which has achieved a positive transformation in recent years,  that transformation  puts at the center of growth and value creation, sustainability and inspires positive change. The aspirations of Novi Sad, but also of Vojvodina’s municipalities and cities, have been recognized by the Mayor of the City of Ljubljana , who will work with European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to establish closer cooperation between the two regions.
