The representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Vidosava Enderić, Director and Milan Čežek, Head of Department for Cooperation with National and Provincial Institutions and Local Self-governments, together with the representative of the Vojvodina Development Agency, Nikola Žeželj, Director and Živko Planić, Advisor, visited the municipalities of Apatin and Bačka Palanka on 24 May 2018.

The aim of the visits was to give an incentive for the municipal activities in the direction of better monitoring and use of EU funds, attraction of foreign investors in order to build and strengthen the institutional capacities of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, starting from the level of local self-governments. In Apatin, the hosts were Milan Škrbić, president of the municipality with his associates, while in Bačka Palanka, the visitors were hosted by Branislav Šušić, president of the municipality.

A more active and constant cooperation between the representatives of these two municipalities and provincial institutions was agreed so that the local self-governments could get acquainted with contemporary trends, calls and tools that would help them attract foreign investments on the one hand, and to use EU funds to a greater extent, on the other hand. The municipalities also expressed a need for better and closer cooperation while working on concrete projects. In principle, an agreement was made based on which the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina would hold a training course, which has been implemented successfully for a number of years now.
