Fund at the 14th session of the Committee on European Integration and Interregional Cooperation
The Committee for European Integration and Interregional Cooperation of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina held its 14th session, which was attended by Aleksandar Simurdić, director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and associates, on the topic: European integration and regional development – funding opportunities from European Union funds and other external sources of funding.
Through active cooperation and dialogue of the Committee with the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, the results of interregional cooperation in the use of EU funds during the programming period from 2014 to 2021 were analyzed, in which the most significant results were achieved within the cooperation between Hungary and Serbia, with approved 111 projects in the amount of 27 million euros in grants, including significant participation in transnational cooperation programs and other EU programs. The emphasis of the thematic session was on reviewing the potential of AP Vojvodina in terms of capacity, possibilities and potential for the use of European Union funds in the upcoming programming period until 2027, and also the need for comprehensive and joint work to support local governments and strengthen institutional capacities in writing project proposals, with the aim of more intensive participation in programs financed from EU funds.
