Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Vojvodina together in Europe

Novi Sad, 12 July – Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs of Vojvodina, and Prof. Dr. Alessandro Napoli, Director of Informest, a development agency of the Italian region of Friuli-Venezia Giulia, have presented to the public a part of Informest’s official presentation on Vojvodina, which is aimed at Italian businesspeople and municipalities. The homepage is headlined “Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Vojvodina Together in Europe”. The Director of the Office for European Affairs, Predrag said that a new agreement on cooperation between Vojvodina and Friuli-Venezia Giulia had been signed in June, which aimed at establishing relations among businesspeople and creating joint projects for the use of EU IPA funds. “Informest’s website, where more that 15,000 Italian companies are registered, is the first step in the implementation of the agreement”, said Novikov.

The Director of Informest, Alessandro Napoli, while surfing the part of the website related to Vojvodina, indicated that his role was to provide information in Italian, as well as concrete services for establishing relations. The target group is Italian businesspeople and municipalities, people who do not know much about Vojvodina and who do not speak Serbian. The website provides information on the territory, population, physical characteristics, provincial institutions, economy and investment opportunities in Vojvodina, where there are six advantages listed why Vojvodina a good choice for Italian companies is. In addition, a bilingual form/questionnaire in Serbian and Italian can be found on the page (Imprese) where companies are listed, which once filled in, enables both-side partner search and conditions for business cooperation.
