Kick-off meeting of the project on mosquito abatement treatment

The kick-off meeting of the new MOS-Cross project, funded within the framework of the IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Program Croatia-Serbia 2014-2020, whose general aim is improve the provision of public health services in West Bačka District and Osijek Baranya County regarding early detection of mosquito-borne diseases by improving cross-border mosquito surveillance and control, was held in Sombor on 18 August.

The meeting was attended by the project team members, representatives of the Public Health Institute Sombor (as the Lead Beneficiary in the project), and of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and the Institute of Public Health for the Osijek-Baranya County (as the project partners).

At the beginning, the attendees were welcomed by Dr Srdjan Merei on behalf of the Public Health Institute Sombor, Ivana Đurica on behalf of the European Affairs Fund of APV, and Magdalena Sikora on behalf of the Public Health for the Osijek-Baranya County and expressed their satisfaction with the cooperation on the project, as well as the hope that the project would be implemented successfully in the following 27 months.

The introductory meeting aimed at presenting the project activity plan, as well as discussing the activities to be carried out in the upcoming period.
