Visits to districts meeting with the district governors mayors and presidents of municipalities in AP Vojvodina

As a part of its regular activities, the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina organizes and conducts visits to the municipalities and cities in Vojvodina, aimed at representatives of local governments, districts, chambers of commerce, public enterprises, NGOs and other relevant institutions.

In collaboration with Ivan Bošnjak PhD, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Public  Administration and Local Government, the sessions of Councils of Administrative Districts in extended composition were convened and were held according to the following schedule:

 

  • The session of the Council of Srem Administrative District was held in Sremska Mitrovica on 28 November 2016,
  • The session of the Council of West Bačka Administrative District was held in Sombor on 29 November 2016,
  • The session of the Council of North Bačka Administrative District was held in Subotica on 29 November 2016,
  • The session of the Council of Middle Banat Administrative District was held in Zrenjanin on 30 November 2016,
  • The session of the Council of North Banat Administrative District was held in Kikinda on 30 November 2016,
  • The session of the Council of South Banat Administrative District was held in Pančevo on 2 December 2016,
  • The session of the Council of South Bačka Administrative District was held in Novi Sad on 7 December 2016.

In addition to the regular items on the agenda, the Council members were informed about the current legislative activities of the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government and plans for the coming year. The representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina presented their role and commitment to local governments, as well as the EU funding opportunities available to entities in AP Vojvodina in the following period.

Apart from the district governors, the sessions were attended by 105 representatives of units of local self-governments, municipalities, moreover heads of the Administration and Departments of Local Economic Development and representatives of NGOs.
