The first Tourist Summit of Vojvodina was held

The first two-day Tourist Summit of Vojvodina, officially opened on June 9 in the Congress Hall of the Master Center in Novi Sad, brought together travel agencies and organizations, hoteliers, caterers, development agencies, media, cultural institutions and other business entities, primarily , tourism sector.

Nemanja Dimić, the president of the Organizing Committee, was the first to welcome all those gathered. Then, welcoming speeches were given by Milorad Radojević, a member of the City Council for Economy of the City of Novi Sad, Boško Vučurević, President of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina, and Dr. Nenad Ivanišević, Provincial Secretary for Economy and Tourism.

The beginning of the Tourist Summit included a panel discussion on the topics of tourism in Vojvodina. Aleksandar Simurdić, Director of the Fund, spoke on behalf of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, as one of the panelists in the discussion on “Cross-sectoral partnerships – the key to success in tourism”, presenting the Fund’s activities aimed at linking European Union priorities in the field of tourism, in this area, and at the local and regional level, emphasizing that cross-sectoral cooperation in the form of synergy of the private, public and civil sectors, as well as the academic community, is a key way to achieve the EU goals for the multiannual financial framework 2021-2027. “The essence of intersectoral cooperation is the issue of trust between all its actors. The European Affairs Fund of the APV should be the point of gravity of all sectors and as such indicate the importance of external funding and opportunities provided by European Union programs. The development of project ideas and their realization, as one of the activities of the Fund, offers numerous opportunities for the improvement of tourism in Vojvodina and is an important precondition for the improvement of intersectoral cooperation, “the director of the Fund emphasized. In conclusion, it was pointed out that the focus should be on the existing framework, all with the aim of maximizing the potential to improve the final product.
