Based on the initiative of the representatives of Stara Pazova Municipality, the European Affairs Fund of АP Vojvodina held a three-day training course under the title “Prospects for Financing through EU Funds“ from 24th to 26th February 2014. The attendees were representatives of the municipality, the Office for Local Economic Development, public utility companies, Youth Office and Tourist Organization of Stara Pazova Municipality. During the course, the presentation involved the new structure of the IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme (IPA 2), under which funds amounting to EUR 260 million were planned to be allocated annually.

In the practical part of the training, the attendees were divided into working groups, when they could develop their project ideas on the topic of, for instance: tourism, ecology, waste management. The tools having proven by the EU to be the most successful ones in project idea development (problem tree and objective tree, stakeholder analysis, logical framework, grouping of activities into working packages and budgeting of projects) were used in the group work. At the end of the course, the attendees could obtain information on the filling-in of the application form under CBC programmes, as well as the system of project evaluation.
