The project “Ring for Europe”, which has been implemented successfully for nine years with the support of the German Friedrich Ebert Foundation and European Movement in Serbia, has also received the support of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina this year. “Ring for Europe” is a program of non-formal education aimed at third- and fourth-year secondary school pupils in order for them to obtain knowledge about the values of the European Union, its structure and history.

Moreover, the secondary school pupils will have an opportunity to learn about the benefits and challenges ahead of our country in the process of European integration. Special attention will be given to opportunities for young people in the field of education and improvement of social life. In addition to workshops, the project activities will include the organization of the event “European Cafe”, which is an informal discussion with the diplomats of EU countries or young people from EU countries currently residing in Serbia about the lives of young people in the EU, their culture, customs etc.

Furthermore, one of the planned activities is a visit to the government institutions dealing with the issues of European integration. In cooperation with other project partners, the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina will organize visits to provincial institutions in Vojvodina that have an important role in the EU accession process, so that the secondary school pupils from Novi Sad could obtain more information about their work and European processes in Vojvodina.
