European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina in Novi Bečej on European funds

Upon an invitation by the municipality of Novi Bečej, Mina Radmilović and Tijana Krstić, representatives of European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina have talked to the municipal representatives about their priorities and needs, as well as about the options for achieving those priorities through EU funds. Miša Vrebalov, president of Novi Bečej Municipality, was the first one to address the attendees. He presented the municipality’s previous experience and emphasized the necessity for continuous education of human resources in order to use the available funds adequately. Mina Radmilović, the Fund’s representative, talked about the significance of EU funds, previous experience of Republic Serbia in cross-border cooperation (CBC) programmes, examples of best practice and calls to be expected in 2012. The representatives of local authorities and public companies recognised the need for education and active participation. The participants were most interested in CBC programmes with Hungary and Romania.
