The Office for European Affairs held a seminar in Dimitrovgrad
On the basis of the signed agreement on cooperation between the Office for European Affairs and the municipality of Dimitrovgrad, the representatives of the Office for European Affairs held a seminar on Vojvodina’s experience in European projects in Dimitrovgrad last week. In addition to the transfer of Vojvodina’s experience and good practice in European projects, the representatives of the Office for European Affairs had a chance to present the new Instrument for Pre-accession Assistance (IPA) of the European Commission, under which the Cross-border Cooperation (CBC) Programmes are also financed.
Since Dimitrovgrad is in the cross-border area with Bulgaria, the focus was certainly on the Bulgaria-Serbia IPA Cross-Border Programme, whose first call for proposals under IPA regulation is expected soon. All those interested had a chance to obtain information on the programme, application technique and necessary rules. The attendees were representatives of Dimitrovgrad municipality, primary and secondary schools, libraries, public companies, citizens’ associations and other institutions relevant as potential applicants of CBC Programmes.
