A two-day workshop “Youth and Heritage” was held at the Matica Srpska Gallery
A two-day workshop on the protection and promotion of tangible cultural heritage was held at the Matica Srpska Gallery on February 28 and March 1 within the project “Youth and Heritage – Tradition and Future in the Cross-Border Cooperation Region” organized by the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina. The project worth 130,156.14 EUR is co-financed by the European Union within the Intereg-IPA cross-border cooperation program Hungary-Serbia.
The workshop was attended by students of the Secondary Design School “Bogdan Šuput” from Novi Sad, students of the Szeged Center for Vocational Training – Technical School “Vedreš Istvan” – from Szeged, as well as project partners – representatives of the Provincial Secretariat for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities , representatives of the County of Csongrád – Chanad and representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina.
Students from schools in Novi Sad and Szeged participated in lectures on cultural and architectural heritage, the role of museums in the protection of cultural heritage, conservation and protection of works of art, and also participated in interactive workshops on preventive protection of works of art.
A tour of the city of Novi Sad was organized for the students, with an emphasis on the architectural heritage of the city.
