Office for European Affairs’ call for proposals for specialization in Italy closed
A call for proposals under the Local Action Group (LAG) for Rural Development, within InePS program, and based upon pre-defined criteria, has been realized in cooperation between the Office for European Affairs, Executive Council of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, and the Ministry of Economy of Republic of Italy. The best evaluated projects have been the following: Mokrin Local Community – “Open Doors of Banat”, Tomaševac Local Community – “Tamiš Development Initiative” and Botoš Local Community – “Development of Rural Tourism in Botoš”. These project ideas will be improved in Italy with the assistance of experts of LAG Delta 2000.
“Over 35% of the EU budget is allocated to rural policy, i.e. it is aimed at rural development. Therefore, it is very important for all the municipalities of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina to apply for the above mentioned EU funds. I would like to point out that within this call for proposals, we received a great number of excellent application forms from Ada, Irig, Titel, Alibunar, Municipal Assembly of Sombor, Faculty of Agriculture in Novi Sad, Tourist Organizations of Bačka Palanka and Bački Petrovac Municipalities, and a lot of NGOs. We had to choose only three project proposals this time. The representatives of Botoš, Mokrin and Tomaševac will be going to Italy, whilst we are trying to divert the other projects to some other initiatives because all these projects deserve a chance. Therefore, I would like to use the opportunity to express my gratitude to all those who submitted their project proposals and to support them in developing their communities concretely in this way”, said Predrag Novikov, Director of the Office for European Affairs.
