Call to schools of the Republic of Serbia for the event “Your Europe, Your Say! 2017 – Europe at 60: Where to next?”

The European Economic and Social Committee (EESC) is inviting schools of the Republic of Serbia for the event “Your Europe, Your Say! 2017 – Europe at 60: Where to next?”, which will gather secondary-school students from different types of secondary schools across all Member States of the EU and the five EU candidate countries. The EESC is eager to ensure that the views, experiences and ideas of Europe’s younger generation are heard and is inviting secondary-school students in their penultimate year from different types of secondary schools to register for the event.

The participating schools shall choose three students to take part in the workshops in Brussels from 30 to 31 March 2017, who will be debating the future of Europe and 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty of Rome. The event will allow young people to talk directly to the decision–makers in Brussels about the challenges and opportunities Europe is facing, and at the same time to learn about the role of the EU and EESC.

The event organiser will cover all the expenses (accommodation, meals, travel) and emphasises that one school will be selected from each country.
