Training course “Preparation of projects within the Creative Europe programme“

The Antenna of Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia organized and held the two-day training course “Preparation of Projects within the Creative Europe programme” at the Center for Economic and Technological Development in Andrevlje on 22-23 October 2018. The course has been organized traditionally by the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, based on the signed agreement on the establishment of the Antenna of Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia with the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Government of the Republic of Serbia. The agreement is an institutional framework for the timely and comprehensive implementation of the EU programme called Creative Europe – Culture sub-programme.
The public call for application for the seminar was open to all institutions and organizations in Serbia planning to submit applications under the Creative Europe irrespective of whether they had already participated in international cooperation projects of were planning their international activities. For this occasion, 25 participants were selected from the whole country.
The seminar was opened by Vidosava Enderić., Director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina. The topics discussed at the seminar were the following: Priorities and objectives of Creative Europe through the approved projects; Culture and creative industries; Partner search and the importance of partnerships; Scoring system and evaluation; and Application and advice.
Three representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, who are also project team members, held presentations. Jovana Rapajic, Project Manager of the Antenna spoke about the programme mission, Mina Radmilovic Pjevac, Coordinator of the Antenna presented the opportunities for culture funding through IPA funds, while Dragana Srećkov, Project Manager of the Antenna of Creative Europe Culture Desk Serbia explained the application form and accompanying documents. The priorities and objectives of the programme were presented by Nina Mihaljinac and Milan Đorđević, Project Managers Culture Desk Serbia, the successful “Make it new” project by Aleksandra Dobrin, Futog Cultural Center; whereas the financial planning and project management by Marija Popović, Project Manager, Student Cultural Center in Novi Sad.
The training course aimed at raising the quality and development of projects to be submitted as applications under Creative Europe, increasing the programme and organizational capacity of institutions and organizations from Serbia, as well as contributing to demetropolisation in the field of culture. In addition, the training course has been organized to enhance communication, cooperation and exchange of experiences among the representatives of institutions and organizations in culture of cities and municipalities of Serbia.
