While paying a working visit to the city of Vršac, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of the AP Vojvodina, Milan Čežek, Nemanja Davidović, Jelena Radosavljević Rovčanin and Zoran Pavić, held a meeting with Miroslav Stupar, member of the City Council for Economy, Aleksandar Ćirin, Office for Local Economic Development of the municipal administration of Vršac, and their associates.

The topic of the meeting were a number of EU funded projects and implemented in the territory of the municipality of Vršac, ranging from the CARDS programme to the ongoing Interreg IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programmes. Vršac, as the leader in EU projects, is an excellent example of good practice for municipalities that do not have enough capacity or motivation to apply for available grants, and as such has been recognized by the Fund. The Fund focused its activities on supporting undeveloped municipalities in the territory of Vojvodina in the previous period. The interlocutors expressed the need for higher levels of training courses on project development, as well as more detailed information on individual EU programmes, such as HORIZON 2020. They were also informed about the specialized programme of the Fund “Management of Regional Development through EU Funds” and its modules.
