Second day of the project meeting and field visit to Morović within the framework of the RETFOR strategic project
On the second day of the working meeting within the strategic project RETFOR, on March 11, 2026, a field visit to the project area in Morović was carried out. The activities were carried out in cooperation with partners from the Republic of Croatia within the project “Strengthening Climate Change Resilience Measures for the Protection and Restoration of Ecosystems in the Spačva-Bosut Basin” (RETFOR), with the aim of promoting natural values and the importance of ecosystem conservation in the context of cross-border cooperation.
During the field visit, footage for a promotional film was shot at several locations near the Bosut River. The promotional film, titled “The Breath of Bosut and Spačva”, is the first video material to be shot within the RETFOR project and aims to showcase the natural values and specificities of the Spačva-Bosut Basin ecosystem.
The filming included natural footage of the project area, including landscapes, the Bosut River watercourse, as well as characteristic parts of forest and aquatic ecosystems that make this area significant from the perspective of biodiversity conservation and climate change adaptation.
As part of the activity, statements by representatives of project partners were also recorded, who spoke about the importance of the RETFOR project, the goals of the planned activities, and the importance of protecting and restoring natural ecosystems in the face of increasingly pronounced climate challenges. The statements were recorded in the project area itself, with nature footage, in order to further highlight the connection between the project activities and the natural environment in which they are implemented.
After filming the first part of the material, a joint lunch was organized with the project partners, which was used for an informal exchange of experiences and discussion of the next steps in the implementation of the project activities. After the lunch, additional footage was continued at several locations within the project area, in order to provide sufficient visual material for the production of the final version of the promotional film.
The implementation of these activities is continuation of the successful cooperation of project partners, as well as the promotion of the goals of the RETFOR project in the field of nature protection, sustainable management of natural resources and strengthening the resilience of ecosystems to climate change.
