Representatives of the Fund participated in a project meeting and study visit in Banja Luka as part of the GREENSMES project

Representatives of the Fund for European Affairs and Development of AP Vojvodina participated in a project meeting and study visit held on June 30th and July 1st, 2026 in Banja Luka, as part of the implementation of the international project GREENSMES, which is implemented through the IPA ADRION program.
Two-day event, organized by the CIDEA, City Development Agency Banja Luka, gathered representatives of the partner organizations aiming improving cooperation, exchanging experiences, and planning future project activities.
During the project meeting, the partners discussed the proposal to extend the project duration, the procedure for amending the project, and agreed on the next steps in the implementation of activities aimed at strengthening the green competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in the ADRION region.
Participants had the opportunity to learn about examples of best practices from organizations actively contributing to the development of innovation, the green transition, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises. They visited the company Telemax, which presented its development and innovative solutions in the fields of smart buildings, urban infrastructure, and renewable energy sources.
On the second day of the program, visits were organized to the University of Banja Luka, where the activities of the RD Center were presented, as well as the BEAMING project, aimed at strengthening capacities in the field of bioeconomy. The participants also learned about the good practice example of Smart Village Knežica, which develops a sustainable agro-technological ecosystem and applies innovative solutions in agriculture, after which they visited the Institute of Genetic Resources and the Botanical Garden of the University of Banja Luka.
The study visit continued at the Republic of Srpska Chamber of Commerce, where experiences in creating support programs for small and medium-sized enterprises in the processes of digital and green transition were presented, as well as the integration of project results into the regular activities of the institution. The final part of the program was dedicated to presenting models for building innovation ecosystems through cooperation between large companies, the startup community and business support organizations.
The participation of the Fund’s representatives at this event contributed to the exchange of knowledge and experiences with partner organizations, strengthening international cooperation and further improving activities implemented within the GREENSMES project, which aim is to support the green transition and develop innovations in the SME sector.
