Sečanj and Novi Bečej have EU projects
On 6th November 2018, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Milan Čežek and Zoran Pavić, as well as the representative of the Development Agency of Vojvodina, Živko Planić, visited the municipalities of Sečanj and Novi Bečej to enhance the monitoring and implementation of European processes and strengthening of the institutional capacities of AP Vojvodina.
In Sečanj, their hosts were Ljiljana Katić, Deputy President of the Municipality, Јon Paunesku, Assistant President of the Municipality and Dejana Milošević, Head of the Municipal Department for Economy, Development, Inspection Affairs and Environmental Protection.
In the past period, the municipality of Sečanj submitted two project applications under the INTERREG IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Romania – Serbia, of which the “Prevent and Combat Disaster” project was developed in partnership with the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and approved for funding.
In Novi Bečej, the guests were welcomed by Saša Maksimović, Mayor of the Municipality, Milan Stojšin, Assistant President of the Municipality for Finance, and Jovan Vokić, coordinator in the Office for Local and Economic Development.
As for the municipality of Novi Bečej, they have had very good cooperation with the Regional Agency for Socio-Economic Development – Banat, with which they have recently implemented several projects in the field of emergency situations and tourism. Their latest project, which was submitted and which is being evaluated under the INTERREG IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Romania-Serbia, developed in cooperation with the Regional Agency for Socio-Economic Development – Banat and the Romanian municipality of Reșița, is related to the reconstruction of the sports hall.
