Tenth training course on EU project development aimed at representatives of the provincial administration

In cooperation with the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and Department of Human Resources Management of the Provincial Government, the tenth training course “EU Funds – from Idea to Realization“, aimed at representatives of the provincial administration, was held. The three-day training course was held at the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina from 1st to 3rd November 2016 by the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Mina Radmilović Pjevac and Tijana Krstić Maravić.

The representative of provincial bodies obtained additional information on the novelties within the second cycle of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA II), operating within the ongoing seven-year financial perspective of the European Union from 2014 to 2020. In addition to the IPA, the participants gained information about a number of EU internal programmes funded from the common EU budget, in which Serbia, as a candidate country for EU accession, is eligible for participation. Special attention was paid to the Hungary-Serbia Interreg IPA CBC programmes, within which the second call for proposals is open and which total budget is EUR 21,500,000. Project proposals can be submitted until 31st January 2017.

The practical part of the training focused on the development of participants’ skills and attitude, so that they could develop project proposals on their own, think of potential partner organisations, build the project structure by means of the logical framework and develop the project budget, obeying the legislative limits imposed by the European Union. As the result, four project ideas were developed, which are of importance for the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina and which can be potentially submitted under some of the EU calls for proposals.

Owing to the successful five-year cooperation between the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and the Department of Human Resources Management of the Provincial Government, ten training courses in total for 200 representatives of the provincial administration have been held so far.
