Certificate Award within the framework of the project “Prospects of EU funding for education“

The certificate award within the framework of the project “Prospects of EU funding for education“ was held at the Assembly of AP Vojvodina on 24th February 2015 and organized by the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and Provincial Secretariat for Education, Regulations, Administration and National Minorities – National Communities.

In the presence of over 100 representatives of elementary and secondary schools, dormitories, provincial administration and other guests, the ceremony was opened by Ana Tomanova Makanova, Vice-president of the Assembly of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Mihály Nyilas, Vice-president of the Provincial Government and Provincial Secretary for Education, Administration and National Minorities-National Communities and Siniša Lazić, director of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina.

Tamara Glišić, representative of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina and Merlida Konstantinović of the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Administration and National Minorities-National Communities informed the guests about the achieved results of the project “Prospects of EU funding for education”, giving an overview of examples of project ideas which were marked by their innovativeness during the implementation of a series of training sessions on EU project development. It was announced that the project would continue in the second semester of the Academic Year 2014/15, when 6 more training courses for additional 180 employees of educational institutions from 19 cities and municipalities of Vojvodina would be held.

Snežana Pupovac, EU Info Point Novi Sad presented the project of the Delegation of the European Union to the Republic of Serbia called “Europa Diary Project – Wise Choice 2014-2015”, which would be incorporated in the following training courses, thus being a novelty in the second semester. Moreover, on behalf of the Provincial Secretariat of Finance, Zdenka Radakov, Assistant Provincial Secretary for Finance presented the results of the last year’s call for proposals and announced the call for 2015 with the aim of presenting the financial support measures the provincial administration provided for co-financing approved EU projects. Since January this year, the employees in educational institutions have had the opportunity to participate in “eTwinning“, EU platform for schools and pre-school institutions, and Jelena Dragaš, Tempus – Erasmus+ Office provided detailed information on the topic.

The beginning of the second part of the project “Prospects of EU funding for education“ was marked by the training course held in Sombor and 5 additional ones were expected to be held until June.
