Linden honey from Fruška Gora is a unique product not only in our country, but also in the world, and as proof of that there are numerous studies, studies and evidence of the uniqueness of this honey.

This honey is the only one in our country that has completed the certification to the end and received a stamp that guarantees the contents of the jar and the buyer is completely protected. Through the project, one of the partners, the The Beekeepers Association “Jovan Zivanovic”, among other things, procured the necessary equipment, so that they could perform tests. Fruška Gora Linden honey with a geographical origin, in terms of the amount of pollen grains of linden in nectar, far exceeds all types of linden honey in Europe. The hardest thing to achieve, this project has succeeded and that is to prove competitiveness.

Another example of a successfully implemented project was the project “Danube Stream for Green Dream”, which aimed to develop eco-tourism in Sremski Karlovci. The intention was to use the numerous natural resources of Sremski Karlovci, both for group tourist visits and for individual ones. The project carried out activities, among other things, in the Ecological Center “Radulovački” in Sremski Karlovci, whose founder is the Vojvodina Environmental Movement (leading partner in the project). The center deals with the education of citizens of all ages from different fields with a special emphasis on environmental protection. It consists of two buildings, an old building from the 18th century, reconstructed in 2008 and the new Sustainable building of the Ecological Center “Radulovački” built in 2012. The facility has a total capacity of 47 beds. It contains two large conference rooms with kitchens, a terrace, a spacious yard, an outdoor stage and the possibility of renting bicycles, canoes and catamarans. The facility is energy efficient, since it has solar panels and a system for the use of geothermal energy and respects the principles of sustainable development and eco-tourism. One of the activities from the project that was implemented in the center was the summer stage and the conference hall. The project also included the renovation of the Mountaineering hut “Stražilovo”. The activities of the home are of educational, sports-recreational and tourist character. In the last decade, the facility has hosted a large number of pupils, students, scientists, athletes, recreationalists and employees at numerous seminars, educations, schools in nature, motivational and team-building weekends. Outside the building there are fields for indoor soccer, badminton and volleyball, an artificial rock, a botanical garden (arboretum of trees and bushes of Fruška gora), an open amphitheater (forest cinema). A wastewater treatment plant was installed within the home, the first in the territory of the Fruška Gora National Park. Solar panels are used to heat the drinking water, and the reconstructed building, which was destroyed by fire in 2011, is in accordance with all norms of sustainable construction.

Thanks to the project, 10 km of hiking and cycling trails on Fruška gora and Kovilj-Petrovaradin marsh have been mapped.
The project is funded by IPA funds and the Austrian Development Agency.
