Info Day on Entrepreneurship
The Info Day on Entrepreneurship was an opportunity for students of the Educons University in Sremska Kamenica to obtain useful and practical information on the EU programmes, as well as the national ones regarding start-ups and starting a private business.
Snežana Pupovac, EU Info Point Novi Sad, talked about the ERASMUS for young entrepreneurs, Dražen Lovrić, European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, about COSME, whereas the year of entrepreneurship and support provided by the Regional Development Agency Bačka was presented to the students by Nikolina Pupavac.
In addition to the activities of the EU Info Point Novi Sad, Snežana Pupovac gave a brief presentation providing basic information and the addresses that startupers can contact. Those are: the European and Serbian enterprise network, European business development manual, entrepreneurial service and e-business. Special attention was given to the cross-border cooperation and mobility programme, as well as good opportunity to learn from those who are more experienced and basic steps necessary to apply for the programmes.
Horizon 2020, Erasmus+, COSME and Creative Europe are programmes coming directly from Brussels, as stated by Dražen Lovrić. COSME is especially interesting because it gives incentive to entrepreneurship by better access to finances. He reminded of the fact that the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina monitors the implementation of EU programmes and organises training courses for interested beneficiaries. The Open Day at the Fond, when further information can be obtained, is Fridays from 10 am to 1 pm.
Nikolina Pupavac said that she hoped the Serbian Government will pronounce the following year the year of entrepreneurship and that, unfortunately, there are much more programmes to help young entrepreneurs than submitted applications under the calls. She invited the students, who are thinking about starting a business on their own, to seek assistance from them in articulating their ideas, making a business plan and everything that is necessary for a successful start in business.
