Office for European Affairs “on tour” in Titel

Within the framework of the “Office for European Affairs’ tours”, a seminar has been held in Titel with the aim of encouraging our local self-governments and other applicants to participate in CBC Programs, which are currently the most recognisable instrument for the use of EU and other development program funds that the EU offers to our country.

The presentation of the Office for European Affairs which aroused the greatest interest was the one on the experiences gained in previous CBC Programs, utilization of funds, current situation of the use of EU funds and challenges.

”The local self-government of Titel, other institutions, NGOs, associations and non-profit organizations will be entitled to certain amounts from the CBC Program in the months and years to come. €3.3 million has been allocated for the Croatia – Serbia CBC Program for the period 2007-2009, whereas €6.6 million for the Hungary – Serbia CBC Program for the period 2007-2009”, said Andrija Aleksić, Office for European Affairs. Moreover, organizations and institutions on this territory will be able to participate in the SEE and Adriatic Programs within IPA. As a reminder, these programs allow central and local bodies and organizations, within and outside the EU, to improve the economic and social conditions, as well as prospects for common development through cooperation. CBC Programs are primarily aimed at local level and finding solutions of common interest on both sides of the border.
