Kick-off Conference of “Support to Allergen-Free Environment” Project

The kick-off conference of the “Support to Allergen-Free Environment” project was held on 21 November 2011 in Novi Sad, organized by the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina. The project resulted from the partnership among the European Affairs Fund of Autonomous Province of Vojvodina, Provincial Secretariat for Urban Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, City of Sombor and City of Baja. The project, worth 397.000 EUR, is financed by the European Union and co-financed by the Autonomous Province Vojvodina, under Hungary – Serbia IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme.

The conference was opened by Ivana Đurica, Assistant Director for European Cooperation of the European Affairs Fund-AP Vojvodina, who pointed out that the number of approved projects was increasing and mentioned that the implementation of the project was a proof of the reality of prospects for obtaining EU funding for the priorities of the province and the whole country. The participants were addressed by Sanda Šimić Stambolić – Assitant Director of the European Integration Office of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, Prof. Saša Bošnjak – Project Manager, Dušanka Sremački – Provincial Secretary for Urban Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection, Nemanja Delić – Mayor of the City of Sombor, and Király József – President of the City Administration of the City of Baja.

Among the participants were also Tomislav Stantić, MSc – Vice-President of the Government of AP Vojvodina and Provincial Secretary for Interregional Cooperation and Local Self-Government, Siniša Lazić – Vice-President of the Assembly of AP Vojvodina, furthermore representatives of the provincial secretariats of the Government of AP Vojvodina, and representatives of local authorities and public and public utility companies from the territory of AP Vojvodina.
