Visit to the municipalities of Temerin Mali Iđoš and Bačka Topola

On 30 July 2019, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Kristina Bašić and Zoran Pavić, in cooperation with the Vojvodina Development Agency visited the municipalities of Temerin, Mali Iđoš and Bačka Topola to enhance the monitoring and implementation of European processes and building and strengthening of the institutional capacities of the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.

In Temerin, the guests were welcomed by Đuro Žiga, President of the Municipality, and his associates, who underlined the successful cooperation with the Fund.

In Mali Iđoš, they were welcomed by Marko Lazić, President of the Municipality, and his associates. At the meeting, the project idea on better utilization of thermal waters was presented through the INTERREG IPA Hungary-Serbia CBC Programme, while in Bačka Topola, Saša Srdić, President of the Municipal Council with his associates presented the project on the reconstruction of the lakeshore camp in cooperation with partners from Hungary, which was being implemented.

The representatives of the municipalities pointed out that in the forthcoming period they needed to train their staff as well as possible so as to use the EU funds. In this regard, an agreement was made for the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina to organize training courses in those municipalities in the shortest possible time. An agreement as made to establish direct and constant cooperation so that the representatives of the municipalities could become better acquainted with all the elements and procedures necessary to formulate even more successful project proposals to apply under the  EU calls.
