Presentation of the Manual for the implementation of public procurement at the local level
The European Affairs fund of AP Vojvodina, in cooperation with experts in the field of public procurement, presented the Manual for the implementation of public procurement at the local level in the Great Hall of the Chamber of Commerce of Vojvodina in Novi Sad. The event, which was held on November 13, 2023, was attended by representatives of local self-governments from the territory of AP Vojvodina responsible for public procurement.
The attendees were greeted by the director of the European Affairs Fund, Ognjen Dopuđ, who, on that occasion, pointed out that public procurement is an extremely important segment of the work of the beneficiaries of the funds at all levels.
“We are absolutely aware of how important public procurement is a segment of the work of the beneficiaries of public funds at all levels and how important quality planning, implementation and monitoring of public procurement is, and it is precisely in these facts that is the motive for drafting such a document” Dopuđ said.
One of the authors of the Manual, attorney at law Branimir Blagojević, presented the Manual, and after the presentation, a discussion was held where the attendees had the opportunity to consult on the topic of public procurement.
The goal of the Manual is to improve the institutional capacity of local self-governments from the territory of AP Vojvodina when conducting public procurement. The Manual includes practical solutions in all stages of the procedure, based on research results, according to domestic legislation and according to the regulations of international donors, and will be presented to all municipalities and cities from the territory of AP Vojvodina.
The Fund, through its previous activities, had successful cooperation through the education of public procurement officers from the territory of the APV, so the creation of the Manual is a continuation of the improvement of the capacities of employees in local self-governments.
