Participation of the Fund European Affairs APV at the 53rd International Tourism Fair

As part of the project “Strengthening the entrepreneurial skills of the cultural and creative industry for the valorization of cultural heritage and the development of a model of sustainable tourism in the Adriatic-Ionian region (CCI4TOURISM)”, the “European Affairs” Fund of APV organized a panel discussion at the 53rd International Tourism Fair.
At the very beginning, the project was presented, as well as the work of the Fund. The panel discussion entitled “Directing of the creative industries towards sustainable tourism, cultural heritage and competitiveness of tourism through EU projects” dealt with the influence of the creative industry on the tourist offer and economy, in our country and in the world. The Creative HUB, which was created within the CCI4TOURISM project, was also presented. Among the topics discussed was return to nature and getting to know one’s own country during the pandemic, as well as free virtual tours that are being developed thanks to technology. Whether this is our future, whether the modern tourist who creates his own arrangement can satisfy all his senses through a virtual tour, remains to be seen in the near future. The participants also used the opportunity to ask questions, as well as to express their opinion and attitudes in relation to the topics from the panel.
