A seminar on project writing held in Bač

The seminar “Reinforcing Citizens’ Associations – NGOs” has been held for the representatives of local self-governments, NGOs and guests from Vukovar, and has been organised by the Centre for Local Democracy in Bač and the Office for European Affairs. Around forty participants, teamed in groups of four, went through the development of a logical matrix and budget proposal, necessary elements of project writing in order to apply for EU funds. In his presentations “What should my project to look like” and “EU Funds – Application Process”, Andrija Aleksić from the Office for European Affairs provided basic information on project proposal writing, especially adjusted to cross-border cooperation, because the idea of the seminar was to find NGO representatives from Bač and Vukovar, who would submit joint project proposals to apply for EU funds.

“Knowledge, training and education are necessary not only for NGOs, but also for the representatives of local self-governments, so that they would become trained and could apply successfully for EU funds. The participants have taken a great deal of interest, which speaks of the success of the seminar”, said Darija Šain, Head of Bač Municipal Administration, MP at the Assembly of Vojvodina and a volounteer at the Centre for Local Democracy in Bač.
