About EU in two largest schools in Zrenjanin

Since its establishment, the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina has promoted good European achievements by assisting in project development and implementation, as well as by raising the awareness of the population.

Given that young people are part of Serbian citizens, who will one day make decisions at the EU level, the Fund has been involved studiously for years in different events dealing with Europe and dedicated to young people. Within the seventh edition of the “European Village” event, which promotes the values of the European Union, as well as the wealth of nations and states, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina have held another lecture “History and Creation of the European Union” at the two largest schools in Zrenjanin. The lectures were attended by over a hundred pupils and teachers from the elementary schools “Zarko Zrenjanin” and “Petar Petrovic Njegos” from Zrenjanin.

In addition to the lecturers, Teodor Milkov Manić and Jelena Radosavljevic Rovčanin, who informed the pupils about the position of the European Union and the historical circumstances that influenced its formation, Duško Radišić, deputy mayor of Zrenjanin also addressed the pupils and informed them about the good practices of Zrenjanin, while the discussion with the pupils was stimulated by Milan Čežek, European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina. The lecture was attended by Marija Harmat, coordinator for EU affairs in the Cabinet of the Mayor of Zrenjanin, who is in charge of organizing the “European Village” event.
