FEP Tours in Mali Iđoš and Srbobran

On 20 November 2018, the representatives of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, Milan Čežek and Zoran Pavić, as well as representatives of the Development Agency of Vojvodina, Nikola Žeželj, Directot and Živko Planić visited the municipalities of Mali Iđoš and Srbobran to enhance the monitoring and implementation of European processes and strengthening of institutional capacities of local self-governments and their institutions in the Autonomous Province of Vojvodina.
The hosts in the municipality of Mali Iđoš were Marko Lazić, president of the municipality, Szűgyi István, president of the municipal council, Kovács Károly, assistant to the president of the municipality responsible for youth, Miloš Žmukic and Dejan Šoljaga, members of the municipal council, Dejan Škeljić, alderman, Danilo Dabović, head of municipal administration, Hallgató Imre, head of department for agriculture, urbanism, construction, environmental protection and communal and housing affairs. At the initiative of the European Affairs Fund of AP Vojvodina, the municipality of Mali Iđoš has adopted the Municipal Strategy, yet has not performed any project activities.
The hosts in the municipality of Srbobran were Radivoj Paroški, mayor, Đorđe Đekov, prominent economist and member of the municipal council in charge of economy, Radivoj Debeljački, contact person – member of the municipal council for local economic development and regional cooperation, and Milica Zarić, head of the cabinet of the president of the municipality. Owing to the excellent cooperation with the Fund, the Office for Local Economic Development has been established and is operating successfully. Within the framework of the donation by the Norwegian Embassy, projects on school restoration in the municipality are being implemented. Moreover, there is the project “Property Tax Reform”, donation by the Swiss Embassy and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities (project being developed for several municipalities), and the project to support vegetable farmers (glasshouses, plastic greenhouses and necessary equipment for associations). The NGO “Biser” is very active in the municipality of Srbobran, whose members attended the Fund’s training course “EU Funding Opportunities” last year.
